Ecological is not a fashion, it is a lifestyle

It is something that we want to make very clear and that is that today the current trend in companies is that impose the word “ecological” on any product without having any philosophy of life, simply being a business.

For us, “ecological” is a lifestyle, because “WE ARE WHAT WE EAT”.

That is the motto that led us 15 years ago to get involved in the project of make organic sausage and organic fresh meat from our own farm of pigs raised in total freedom and in an ecological way.

Ecological is not a fashion

TI see the company as our little pigs live in the “Encinar de Ocón” a place located in the Ocón Valley covered by a leafy forest of holm oaks and oaks; and surrounded by a privileged environment declared by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve.

Ecological is not a fashion

The feeding of the piglets is completely controlled because they feed on seeds or fresh shoots from the oak forest along with the organic cereal that we make. For its production, we establish agreements with farmers in the area, managing to strengthen synergies, the resources of the oak forest and trying to minimize the impact of price and speculation on our products as much as possible. Minimizing the CO2 emissions produced as much as possible mainly for the transportation of cereal and maximizing the care of cultivated plots.

Ecological is not a fashion

With this, we also promote organic farming in the area since the main drawback that farmers see in doing organic is the sale of it and we We are committed to buying your production of wheat, barley, peas... and thus helping the development of the eco zone.

For all these reasons, our identity is based on producing an artisan product, a product that speaks about us, our work, our manufacturing process and the quality of our products. Thus, We carry out the entire production process from breeding to the preparation of the final product (care, feeding, cutting, selection of parts, curing, packaging and distribution).

If in one sentence it could be summarized Luis Gil, it would be without a doubt “Respect for everything that surrounds us, enjoying what one does“.

It cannot be that now all the greats make an organic article as a trend: reserve, aged, white and organic wine!; semi-cured, tender and organic cheese!; Extra, spicy, light and organic chorizo!

Because ecological is not a fashion, this cannot be. We must distinguish the differences between one another, we must distinguish the divisions…. Because we are not all the same...

And what league do you want to play in?
